Annual Exhibition 2025 Report of Netaji Nagar Day College

Introduction

The Annual Exhibition at Netaji Nagar Day College was held on 17th and 18th December 2025, showcasing a diverse range of academic and creative projects. The theme of the exhibition, "India Unbound: Knowledge, Culture, and Prosperity," provided a vibrant and thought-provoking platform for students to explore and present various facets of India’s rich cultural heritage, intellectual traditions, and pathways to sustainable growth. This theme aimed to celebrate India's legacy while looking towards its future in the global context.

Inaugural Session

Chief Guest & Inaugural Lecture:

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Anindita Ghosal, a distinguished academician from Diamond Harbour Women's University, Dr. Manoranjan Biswas, Hon’ble GB member of Netaji Nagar Day College, and Dr. Sonali Banerjee Jash, Principal Netaji Nagar Day College. Dr. Ghosal delivered an insightful lecture on “Indian Knowledge System,” which closely aligned with the theme of the exhibition. She emphasized the importance of preserving India’s indigenous knowledge while also recognizing its potential to influence and shape modern education and development.
































 

Keynote Address:

Dr. Ghosal’s lecture set the tone for the exhibition, encouraging the participants and visitors to reflect on the interconnectedness of knowledge, culture, and prosperity in the context of India’s growth as a global leader. Her words inspired the students to explore the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern innovation.

Exhibitor Groups and Participation

The exhibition saw the participation of 13 exhibitor groups, representing various departments of the college. A total of 37 students took part in the exhibition, showcasing their academic projects, and creative displays. These projects explored multiple aspects of the theme "India Unbound: Knowledge, Culture, and Prosperity," ranging from traditional Indian art forms to scientific advancements, social reforms, and the promotion of sustainable development.




 

Judges and Evaluation

The evaluation of the exhibits was carried out by an esteemed panel of judges:

Dr. Krishna Pada Das, Associate Professor, Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya

Dr. Biswajit Prasad, Assistant Professor, Maharaja Manindra Chandra College

The judges evaluated the exhibits based on various criteria such as innovation, relevance to the theme, presentation quality, and academic rigor. Their expertise added credibility to the event and ensured a fair and thorough evaluation process.

Award Ceremony

Based on the judges' evaluations, the three best exhibitor groups were awarded prizes for their outstanding contributions to the theme:

First Prize (Zoology)

Second Prize (Geography)

Third Prize (Commerce)

These awards recognized the creativity, research depth, and alignment of the projects with the exhibition's theme of "India Unbound: Knowledge, Culture, and Prosperity."

Valedictory Session

The event concluded with a Valedictory Lecture by Dr. Krishna Pada Das, who reflected on the exhibition’s central theme. Dr. Das discussed the pivotal role of academic exhibitions in cultivating critical thinking and creativity, and highlighted how understanding India's past could inform its future trajectory toward prosperity and global leadership.

Visitation by School Students

The exhibition was not only attended by college students but also attracted a significant number of school students. A total of 90 school students, along with their teachers, from six different schools, visited the exhibition. This provided an excellent opportunity for young minds to engage with topics such as India’s ancient knowledge systems, its evolving cultural landscape, and future avenues for prosperity.











 

Organizing Committee

The event was meticulously organized by the Principal, college faculty members, student representative with special mention of the Jt. Conveners and Members of Science and Nature Club Sub-committee members.

Their leadership ensured the smooth functioning of the exhibition, from coordination with exhibitors to managing the logistics of the event.
